In 2005, the Federal Government of Nigeria privatised NIRMSCO Properties Limited — the then owner of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. As part of a consortium, Transcorp purchased a proprietary stake of the company and became the core investor, while the Federal Government retained the remaining 49 per cent.. Hilton International LLC was engaged to manage the property.

In 2007, the name NIRMSCO Properties Limited was changed to Transnational Hotels & Tourism Services Limited (THTSL). THTSL was the hospitality subsidiary of Transcorp. As part of its expansion drive, in 2011, THTSL purchased a majority stake in Transcorp Metropolitan Hotels & Conferencing Limited, the owning company for Transcorp Metropolitan Hotel Calabar, making it a subsidiary of THTSL. The hotel was rebranded Transcorp Hotels Calabar in 2012 and is today, the hotel of choice for high profile events in Cross River State.

In 2013, Transcorp bought out other consortium members and became the sole owner of the 51 per cent controlling shares in THTSL. Soon thereafter, Transcorp Hilton was named Nigeria’s leading hotel in 2013 by World Travel Awards and secured hosting rights for the World Economic Forum on Africa in 2014.

Whether you take advantage of our airport shuttle service, or drive on your own, it will take you around 20 minutes to go from the airport to Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Maputo.

Driving directions from Maputo Airport (15 minutes)
Our business hotel is located 7 kilometers from Maputo Airport. From the airport exit, head southwest on Rua De Sacadura Cabral for 850 meters. Continue onto Avenida Angola and drive for 1.5 kilometers. Turn left onto Avenida Joaquim Chissano and continue to the round-about, where you want to head straight onto Avenida Kenneth Kaunda. After driving on Avenida Kenneth Kaunda for 1.7 kilometers, continue onto R. José Craveirinha for 550 meters and then arrive at the hotel by taking a slight left to the hotel.
